After Your Acute Care Visit

For non-established patients, we will send a detailed summary of our visit to your pediatrician to ensure your child has good continuity of care.

Acute Care Service Policy

While we strive to provide efficient, quality medical care, please know that we see patients based on the acuity of their condition.
  • First priority is given to patients who are in acute distress or may have a life-threatening condition

  • Second priority is given to any child less than two months of age due to the fact that infants this age might have a serious condition that requires immediate treatment and these children are more susceptible to contagious infections if left in the waiting room

  • All other patients will be seen in order of arrival

When to go to the emergency room for acute care services.

For acute care situations, we evaluate and treat a variety of minor non-emergent illnesses, but not every condition is appropriate for PM Kidz. If you’re unsure if PM Kidz is the best place for your child, view our chart. You may also contact us to ask one of our friendly staff members for assistance.
